The batches are suitable for casting, kneading or pressing; and dosed amts. of corase grained starting materials are mixed together and the mixt. is fed into an impact mill using a gas stream, so fine milling and homogenisation of the mixt. are achieved. The impact mill is pref. fitted with an air separator employed for sieving the milled batch. Addns. such as binders, pigments, plasticisers and softeners are pref. added to the coarse grained starting materials. The pref. plant includes an impact mill using a current of air and followed by a spraying chamber fed with water which may contain a binder, or with a slip or slurry.
