<p>The building is a single-storey or two storey structure ready for finishing, and esp. suitable as a one-family residential unit. It has no load bearing internal walls and it has a frame construction, absorbing any vertical loads that occur, as well as horizontal loads. The frame may be made of steel, concrete or wood. Its uprights are pref. sited in the external walls and its trusses in the ceiling, and they are pref. symmetrical to the plan axes. Erection is inexpensive, without sacrificing the advantages of solid construction.</p> |
