<p>A reading device for perforated data media with several sensing arms each operating a switch via a magnetic element is designed for min. manufacturing cost, large reading rate, and avoidance of cross coupling between magnetic elements and neighbouring sensing arms. Operation of each switch is by its associated sensing arm. - The switch condition is dependent on the sensing arm end position, i.e. in a punched hole or not. - Each switch has an associated short circuit element which screens the switch for one end position of the arm by shorting the flux of the magnetic element. In the other arm position flux guides concentrate the flux about the switch element.</p> |
