The gang type grass-mower is for use over large areas and is mounted at the front of a tractor, having a number of cutter units so mounted in two rows that one unit in one row is in line with the gap between the two in the other. The cutter units (10) in one row are in fixed positions in the frame (2) while those (18) in the other are so mounted as to allow sideways movement in it. The latter are coupled to controls reacting to an alteration in the travel direction and working either with the ground or with the tractor steering gear. Thus the units in the second row are always kept in line with the gaps between those in the first one. |
