1. Apparatus for wrapping shells from sheet blanks with a device for supplying the blanks, with a wrapping mandrel (5) which can be driven in rotary motion, and with a carrier (7) carrying two grippers (10), which carrier can be driven so as to effect a conveying movement, in the course of which the grippers (10) are alternately halted at the mandrel (5) and at the supply device (26), the grippers (10) on the carrier (7) being movable transversely to the direction of the conveying movement for the approach to the supply device (26) and to the mandrel respectively, characterised in that the carrier (7) is reciprocable substantially tangentially to the mandrel (5) and between two gripper end positions, in which each a respective supply device (26) is provided for coaction with only one gripper (10). |
