PURPOSE:To enhance the reliability and durability of the memory device by selecting one of the duplicated memory devices in the state under which the selection latch of the selector is switched according to the error detection and then connected to the selector. CONSTITUTION:When the same data after duplication is written into memory devices 11-A and 11-B each, the write data of either one of the two devices is applied to register 13 via selector 12. And when the error of the reading data is detected at error detection part 14 to the writing data, the latching output delivered from selection latch circuit 15 consisting of exclusive OR circuit 16 and FF17 switches with every error detection to give the control to the selection latch of selector 12. Accordingly, the alternative selection is given to devices 11-A and 11-B while being connected to selector 12, and the reading is carried out continuously with no cut-off between these two memory devices via the error detection of once. As a result, both the reliability and the duarability can be enhanced for the memory device. |
