ADAPTER FOR LENS SURFACING TOOL An expandable adaptor for interchangeable lens surfacing tools (laps). The adaptor is constructed and arranged to prevent tool loosening and/or rotational slippage during lens abrading and polishing operations. An expandable portion of the adaptor receives the customarily recessed rim of a tool and tightly grips the tool rim in collet fashion responsively to pressure exerted against the tool during a lens surfacing operation.
