CONCENTRATION OF AQUEOUS CYANAMIDE SOLUTIONS BY EVAPORATION Dilute aqueous solutions of cyanamide are concentrated by evaporation of water under reduced pressure with a buffering agent in the solution during the evaporation to keep the pH of the solution in the range from 4 to 6. Preferred buffers for this purpose are monosodium phosphate and boric acid present in quantity about 4 percent of the cyanamide weight in the solution.
