<p>Arrangement removes pollutants, such as oil, present on a beach or along a shore line. The pollutants are disintegrated and mixed with water supplied to them whereupon the mixture is moved to the surface where it forms a floating mass which is then gathered. Appts. comprise one or more endless conveyors carrying paddles. Each conveyor is suspended from a buoyancy element and has a downwardly extending skirt which, with the paddles, forms a supply channel, and an upward skirt forming a channel through which the paddles remove water together with pollutant and sand. The conveyors are height-adjustable.</p> |
