PURPOSE:To prevent a generation of drag, likely by setting the grindstone free from the work in the position with a specific amount of distance apart before the grinding process final end. CONSTITUTION:A work 4, with the grindstone lowered to apply a high cutting of 0.5mm to several mm/one pass and a table 7 fed toward the direction of an arrow mark 3, as shown in the drawing, at minimum low speed feed of several tens of mm to several hundreds of mm/min., is processed a creep feed grinding. From the position with a distance of almost [d(2r-d)]<1/2> before the grinding process final end, is set a grindstone 3 upward free from the work by using an up-down mechanism. In this way, a generation of drag can be eliminated with a flat processed surface obtained. |
