PURPOSE:To adjust the depth of a propulsion device upward or downward without causing propulsion loss by supporting the transmission shaft of an outboard machine by means of the eccentric part of a rotary wheel fitted in the center of the ship's stern and further supporting the outboard machine vertically by means of links. CONSTITUTION:When rotary wheel 4 fitted in the center of the ship's stern is rotated by rotating pinion 11, rotary supporting frame 7 supported by the eccentric part of rotary wheel 4 rotates, so that transmission shaft 6 of outboard machine 5 moves up and down in the range twice as large as the distance of eccentricity. Consequently, propulsion device 16 is adjusted to any position upward or downward within the above-mentioned range. At this time, since outboard machine 5 is held vertically at all times by means of supporting arm 8 and parallel links 9, 9, no propulsion loss results. |
