A lock mechanism for a door, especially intended for a safe, strong-room and the like, in which a lock part section 12a, 12b in the side edge section 11 of the door leaf is arranged to be detained by means of a lock bolt 13 mounted rotatably in the door frame, which lock bolt is rotatably located into a locking position by its rotation inwards towards and is pivotably located into a release position by a rotation outwards away from the swing path of the door by means of an adjusting mechanism in the door frame. The lock bolt 13 is rotatably mounted about a vertical, stationary rotation axis on the outer section of the door frame, whilst an associated actuating part 16, forming part of the adjustment mechanism, is rotatably mounted about a vertical, stationary pivot axis on the inner section of the door frame. The rotation axes of the lock bolt 13 and the actuating part 16 are disposed on each side of a principal plane A-A through the door frame and preferably, in broad terms, mutually on a line orientated transversely to the stated principal plane. The lock bolt 13 is elongated and relatively narrow and has a guide slot 13a running along it for the reception of a guide part 21 at the freely outwardly extending end of the actuating part 16 and, in the locked state, runs obliquely inwards towards the lock part section 12a, 12b of the door and passes the outer swing path of the door at a relatively small angle, whilst the actuating part 16, in the locked state of the lock bolt, runs obliquely inwards towards the outer end of the lock bolt and transversely to the outer swing path of the door. <IMAGE> |
