<p>The silo has a flat base and is fitted with two vertical perforated tubes located diametrically near the circumference of the silo. The tubes discharge onto a central transporter. The silo is also fitted with a screw conveyor feeding into the central discharge. A baffle plate keeps the grain away from the bottom corner. The silo is emptied by opening a valve to empty to a given level, then to a second level, consequently to a third level when the rotary feeder completes the operation.</p> |
