<p>Plastics material is injected into a mould containing a withdrawable core rod and the mould is moved from the injection device to a pressurising device having a ram which is forwarded into the mould sprue to pressurise the injected material during setting. The core rod cooperates with a pair of neck mould halves which, when the core rod is withdrawn after setting, are forced outwardly away from the article by biasing springs. During the initial withdrawal of the rod outward movement of the neck mould halves is prevented. Pref. the mould is carried from an overhead slightly inclined rod by swinging links and is swung by a cylinder from a lower injection position to an upper pressurising position.</p> |
