There are prepared dienones of the Narwedin type of the formula <IMAGE> in which the substituents are described in Claim 1. These compounds are obtained from the corresponding esters of the formula I by electrochemical oxidation. The said compounds can be used as starting materials for the preparation of Amaryllidaceae alkaloids. <IMAGE>
