The vehicle windscreen wiper of 2128678 has a main carrier arm (11) with an intermediate carrier arm (12) each end, between which the blade is supported. Between the main arm and intermediate arm which are both channel shapes, is a resilient connecting block (19). This has a U-shaped end (30) moulded onto a rectangular part (23). The rectangular part is inserted through a rectangular opening (18) in the intermediate arm and grips the sides (36) remaining. The top of the rectangular is recessed to fit inside the end of the main arm, having a raised end (40) acting as a stop. The sides (15) of the main arm carry extensions (25) which are bent around and under the block which has a recess (24) underneath for these extensions.
