The guiding arrangement for a vertically sliding, dished, vehicle window frame (11) includes a cage (21) with two plates carrying pegs (27, 28, 29) between them, attached to the bottom edge of the window pane. When the window is pushed up or down, these pegs travel in guide slots (24, 25, 26) in a fixed guide assembly (10). The guide assembly has a plate with three fingers (30, 31, 32) forming its lower half, each finger having a guide slot along it. The fingers slope at an angle, and each slot has a curved lower part. In side elevation, each finger curves by a different amount and carries a locating spindle (33, 34, 35) at the bottom.
