Electric steam iron - with contoured water guide plate subdividing evaporator chamber and separating steam

The evaporator chamber receives water through a drip valve and is divided by a contoured water guide plate into several systems of channels which communicate with each other through holes and nozzles. The nozzles leading into the final steam outlet cavities are curved to a dome shape so that no water can be carried over with the steam. All parts of the channel system are coated with a lining which prevents the deposition of scale. The iron has a high steam capacity and can be used with normal tap water without any softening plant. If any descaling becomes necessary, the bottom plate and the water guide plate are readily accessible so that any incrustation can be readily removed.
