PURPOSE:To obtain an agricultural and horticultural acaricide having a wide spectrum of action and strongly acaricidal effects, containing a specific compound such as diphenylethane and fenbutatin oxide. CONSTITUTION:An agricultural and horticultural acaricide containing a compound shown by the formula R1-A-R2 [A is 1-4C saturated alkylene; R1 and R2 are phenyl or alkyl-substituted phenyl (<=4C alkyl)] such as phenylxylylethane or hexakis(beta,beta-dimethylphenethyl)distannoxane (fenbutatin oxide) in the ratio of 0.5-3pts.wt., preferably 1-2pts.wt. of the former and 1pt.wt. of the latter. Use of both the components shows controlling effects on Tetranychidae such as Tetranychus urticae Koch or Tetranychus kanzawai Kishida and resistant Panochus citric Mc Gregor) on which sufficient effects have not been obtained. |
