<p>The resonator has its large faces parallel to the X/Z' plane of the quartz crystal and each provided with an excitation electrode. If the resonator (1) has a length in the Z' direction that is c. 0.7 to 1.0 times as great as its length in the X-direction, then the strip-like excitation electrodes (2) are parallel to the X-direction and symmetric on the resonator. The length of the excitation electrodes is c. 0.8 to 1.0 times the length of the resonator in the X-direction. The width of the electrodes is c. 0.3 to 0.5 times the length of the electrodes. The corners of the rectangular electrodes are rounded and the radius of curvature is c. 0.5 times the electrode width.</p> |
