PURPOSE:To hold a seal between scroll members in good condition and to obtain a good wear characteristic on a sliding surface by applying almite treatment on the sliding surface of at least one of a pair of scroll members. CONSTITUTION:Energized axially by gas pressure in a discharge space 30, a fixed scroll member 24 is pressed against a moving scroll member 23. Since the scroll members 23, 24 are formed with aluminum, they can be lightened in weight and a centrifugal force arising from a circular movement of the center of gravity of the moving scroll member 23 can be minimized, too. Further, a hard almite treatment is applied on at least one of the scroll members, therefore a seal between the scroll members can be held in good condition, and a good wear characteristic on a sliding surface is also obtainable. |
