<p>The mechanism feeds a vibratory sorting machine with small components, such as lamp filaments, electronic components, coil springs etc, stored in containers in random quantities, which have to be fed in the machine metered quantities. It has a vibrating arm, accommodating one or more component containers, whose inclination to the horizontal is adjusted dependent on the quantity and type of the components contained in the hopper. The vibration mechanism preferably consists of a stepping motor, coupled to the arm by a shaft, so as to adjust it into various angular positions and to vibrate it. On the arm discharge side may be provided a chute. The machine may have a signal generator acting as component detector and controlling the stepping motor.</p> |
