Mechanical saw unit with vertical blade guidance - cutting pressure for blade is generated by drive height

The saw unit guides the saw blade vertically and sets the saw blade vertical to the workpiece chucking face on termination of the saw cut. The pivotable saw unit is so supported that the cutter pressure for the saw blade is generated by the weight of the drive unit (1). Once there is sufficient cutting pressure for rapid advance of the saw, the cutting pressure is so limited that the saw blade does not cut. Simple hand saw blades can be used on the machine without breakage. There is a guidance system for the saw blade. Systems ensure that neither dust, chippings, or spray water damage the guide (4). In each stroke, the guide is supplied with lubricant to ensure long life.
