Halogen incandescent lamp with pinch stem - has pinch embedded cap holder of molybdenum, insulated against lead-in wires and foils and welded to cap

The pinch stem of the halogen incandescent lamp contains at least two current leads, each formed by a foil and lead-in wires. A metal cap sleeve of rectangular cross section is secured to the pinch stem without cement. For this purpose securing straps (12) are punched-out from the cap sleeve and bent inwards. The cap securing is provided by welding of the straps to a holder (8) embedded firmly in the pinch stem. The holder(s) is made if molybdenum and is insulated against the lead-in wires (6). Each holder is welded to two securing straps of the cap sleeve (9). Pref. the holder is embedded in the middle between the lead-in wires. The lamp is intended for an optical system and its securing has to be carried out in a potential insulating manner.
