<p>The device is for greasing saw blades and keeping them clean, esp. bandsaw blades (17) for wood cutting. A valve unit (6) is connected to a compressed-air supply (1, 3). Its outlet (8) is connected to a nozzle (15) facing the teeth (18) and side faces (19) of the saw blade (17), via a container (10) for lubricating and cleaning fluid. The valve unit is momentarily opened at set intervals, so that compressed air is moistened with the fluid and conveyed to the nozzle for moistened air discharge in spurts. This prevents adhesion of resin and other matter on saw blades and reduces risk of fire and/or blade fracture.</p> |
