<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the griding cuttings or the broken grains from intruding inside the structural body by carrying out processing for the external circumferential surface of the structural body of the converter supporting device containing the static pressure type air bearing hole by jetting out the compressed air through the bearing hole. CONSTITUTION:Shaft 13 of the grinding tool is added to chuck 14 and then fixed to rotor supporter 6 when the processing is given to the structural body of the converter supporting device. When the external circumferential surface is formed into the desired shape by means of grindstone 24, the compressed air is jetted out through plural units of static pressure type air bearing hole 10 via pipe 22 plus pipe 12 and the ventilating room. As a result, the thin holes are never blocked with the grinding cuttings or broken grains, and at the same time those cuttings or grains are prevented from intruding inside the stractural body.</p> |
