A vehicle anti-theft device which prevents steering shaft rotation, has a round cap 7, with incisions 8, which rotates within a rigid wall 5 and is secured to the steering shaft 1. The round cap is coupled for locking with the rigid wall by a bolt-type lock 17 arranged within the wall with a receptacle for the cylindrical lock housing arranged so that the lock bolt, aligned with the lock cylinder, comes to rest before the inner wall of the cap 7 after the bolt security lock has been pushed into its receptacle.
