APPARATUS FOR WEIGHING RAILWAY VEHICLES

A device for static or dynamic weighing of railway guided vehicles including a pair of main rails for supporting the wheels of the vehicle, the main rails being provided with gaps in which are situated weigh rails forming part of a weigh device, the weigh rails providing support for the vehicle across the gaps in the main rails. In accordance with the invention, the weigh device is supported by load sensing means which are themselves carried by the main rails, so that the load registered by the weigh rails is unaffected by any deflection in the main rails.
