PURPOSE:To minimize the component (B) to be dissolved out, and to facilitate the control of the fineness of the remaining component (A), by dry spinning a composite stream of the components (A) and (B) in a specific arrangement, and by dissolving and removing (B) from the drawn and heat-treated fibers. CONSTITUTION:The remaining dope component (A) is fed from above the composite stream-forming box 1, and divided by the dope component (B) to be dissolved out into the slit tubes 3l and tubes 3m each having the slit 5 in a lattice form, and spun through the well 6 and orifices 16. Most of the dope component in the outermost circle is occupied by (A) to give composite fibers wherein A is divided into the checkered pattern. The fibers are then treated with a solvent to remove (B), and ultra-fine fibers consisting solely of (A) can be thus obtained. This method provides a small amount of (B), simple control of fineness, and makes the dry spinning of a polyner, of a polymer which can not be dry spun possible. |
