<p>The drain pipe of a funnel is widened out from the bottom point of the inlet cone to which it is joined, towards the outlet. The outer circumference of the drain pipe may correspond to its bore, or the pipe may be arranged so that the external dimensions diminish towards the outlet so as to permit its insertion into a relatively small hole. In this latter case the pipe may be reinforced by external ribs. The arrangement speeds up the flow of liqs. handled and reduces the time required for filtering and rebottling.</p> |
