EXHAUST CYLINDER AND EXHAUSTING METHOD

PURPOSE:To increase the effect of diffusion and improve the generation of the white smoke of exhaust gas after discharging it into atmosphere, by a method wherein the exhaust gas, containing the vapor of water, and combustion gas, generated by the combustion of a fuel, are introduced into an exhaust cylinder, provided separately, to discharge them to the outside of a device after mixing them. CONSTITUTION:In the manufacture of potato chips, for example, a damper 4 for regulating the amount of exhaust gas, is attached to the combustion gas exhaust cylinder 1 of a cooking oil heating device and a duct is provided below the damper 4 to connect the exhaust cylinder 1 to another exhaust cylinder 3. The duct 5 penetrates the exhaust cylinder 3 and is opened at the center of the cylinder 3 so that the tip end thereof is opened upwardly while mixing vanes 6, provided above the opening, are supported by a rotary shaft 8 and are rotated by a prime mover 7. A damper 9, regulating the amount of discharging steam, is attached to the steam discharging cylinder 2 of a flier while a duct 10 for sending the steam, discharged out of the lower part of the damper, into the exhaust cylinder 3. Combustion exhaust gas is sent into the exhaust cylinder 3 by closing another damper 4. Subsequently, the prime mover 7 is driven to rotate the mixing vanes 6 while the damper 9 in the steam discharging cylinder 2 is closed gradually and exhaust steam is sent into the exhaust cylinder 3 whereby the visible amount of the steam-like while smoke, which is discharged out of the exhaust cylinder 3, may be reduced.
