PURPOSE:To obtain hot water of a stable temperature by supplying water between a bottom wall of a hot water tank and a rediation portion of a heater, whereby the hot water boosting performance can be improved. CONSTITUTION:Water entering a water supply pipe 27 impinges substantially perpendicularly upon a bottom wall 22 of a hot water tank body 13. Consequently, the water then flows horizontally along the bottom wall 22 or between a spiral portion 21 of a heater element and the bottom wall 22. Since an outlet port 28 of the water supply pipe 27 is substantially in the center of the tank body 13, the water reaches each part of the same height of a side wall 41 of the tank body 13 substantially at the same time. Namely, the water flows from the bottom surface of the tank in the upward direction at a uniform flow rate while rubbing the spiral portion 21 of the heater element. Since the spiral portion 21 of the heater element is flatly formed and substantially parallel to the bottom wall 22, it also serves as a baffle plate to control the pressure of water. |
