1496570 Automatic circuit-breakers HEINRICH KOPP INHABER THEODOR SIMONEIT 6 May 1975 [14 May 1974 6 Feb 1975] 18892/75 Heading H1N An automatic circuit-breaker with a manually operable handle 2 has electromagnetic and thermal trip means controlling movable contact arm 5 pivoted on one end plate 25 of a stack 20 of arc splitter plates, the other end plate of which is extended to form the fixed contact 4 for co-operation with the movable contact arm 5. The thermal trip device is a bimetal 6 adjustable by a screw 18 and arranged to act on a release lever 10 by means of a slide 19. The lever 10 is also arranged to be acted upon by the plunger of the electromagnet 3 to release a link 13 which also releases a lever 9 copivotal with lever 10 and normally retaining a compression spring 15. The lever 9 moves the arm 5 to open the contacts. |
