PURPOSE:To record a gradation property image with a simple control system by attaching liquid drops at the same position on the recording material to perform a gradation recording in such a manner that the number of drops corresponds to the signal responsible for the gradation in the image information to be displayed. CONSTITUTION:When an input information signal 15 having a density element is applied to an input information control device 14 by the signal as shown by (b), the device 4 produces a reference signal having four different levels V1, V2, V3 and V4 as shown by (C). A comparator circuit controls the reference signal and the input information as shown by (b) and provides the output signal (d) to a charged signal drive source 12. In other words, the signal as shown by (d) is produced in the section T1, when the signal level V (t) meets the requirement of Vt>=V1. Likewise, in the sections T2, T3 and T4, the signal as shown by (d) is produced and delivered to the charged signal drive source 12 when the respective requirements of Vt>=V2, Vt>=V3, Vt>=V3, Vt>=V4 are met. |
