Continuous sugar crystal centrifuge - with bowl surrounded by stationary trough of gradually increasing depth

A continuous centrifuge with a mixing device for crystals, esp. sugar crystals, has a stationary collector trough surrounding the centrifuge bowl. The trough has a bottom plate which descends from a higher point to a lower point near the discharge so that the trough increases in size at a steady rate. Centrifugal sugar crystals which are dissolved in the trough by revolving ring of liquid to a mash with 90% solids content can thus be discharged without difficulty.
