The covering frame (1) has an upper part (2), two side parts (3) and a lower part (4). These parts are plugged loosely one into the other. They each have an upright metal plate (5) and a projecting connection leg (6). In the case of the eaves-side connection leg (6) of the lower part (4), a lead apron (8) is arranged. Said lead apron (8) is folded onto the connection leg (6) and is rolled up towards the weathering-side surface (7) of the connection leg (6). The diameter of the roll is smaller than the height of the upright metal plate (5) and the lead apron is pre-mounted, ready for installation, with the result that the covering frame can be introduced on the building site without additional precautions. <IMAGE>
