<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a uniform quantity of light over the entire width of a head in the longitudinal direction, by a method wherein the size of a light emitting dot pattern formed by the overlap of an anode electrode and a grid electrode is set so that the central part thereof is larger than both end parts thereof in the longitudinal direction of the head. CONSTITUTION:Anode conductors 32 are parallelly arranged on a substrate 31 and the parts of the light emitting elements exposed from the opening parts 33 of control electrodes 34 form anode dots and scanning is performed by an anode scanning circuit through the anode conductors 32. Then, the phosphors deposited on the anode dots are allowed to emit light by a dynamic driving system for successively applying a printing signal to the control electrodes 34 in synchronous relation to scanning by the synchronous signal outputted from a timing circuit to form an electrostatic latent image on the surface of a recording medium. As a result, usual printing is performed at the central parts of a light emitting elements in the longitudinal direction and, even at both end parts high in brightness conventionally, brightness is suppressed by the lowering of the quantity of a thermoelectron and the lowering of a light emitting area caused by narrowing a slit width and a light emitting element having uniform light emitting intensity over an entire width can be obtained.</p> |
