Structural insulation panels with multifacet surface - of fibre-cement board, using the elasticity of a foam core to inhibit cracking of a plaster coating

An insulation panel comprises a layer of insulation material between two layers of 'fibragglo' (firbre-reinforced cement board) where the outer face of the board is subdivided into distinct squares or rectangular panels. Esp. for mfr. of panels 0.8-3 m long and 0.4-1.2 m wide over -all for covering structural walls, etc. Subdivision of the fibrocement layer and the elasticity of a core layer of cellular plastic material accommodates differential strains in the superficial plaster to inhibit cracking of the plaster. Pref. the fibre cement layers are 3-50 mm thick, and the sub-panels to support the plaster coating are 5-40 cm long separated by slots 1-15 mm wide and 2-60 mm deep.
