The terminal plus is suitable for use in printed circuit boards and is formed from flat metal strip by bending. The upper part has three faces formed into a U(2a, 2b, 2c) with two projecting lugs (3a, 3b). A flat surface is formed by bending a tongue (5) so that it effectively completes a square at the base of the lugs. A hole (4c) is provided in the face forming the base of the U(2b). Either connecting wires or the terminals of components can pass through the windows (4a, 4b) between the lus, or through the hole, for soldering on to the tongues (5). The lower part of the face forming the base of the U(2b) is absent. The lower parts of the remaining two faces (2a, 2b) are bent to form a square with two rounded corners and two gapped corners, and having a tapering bottom with rounded tips for insertion into the hole in the printed circuit board. |
