<p>The alarm system has a push-button installed in the elevator, used to operate an audible alarm and a visual display indicating the number of the broken-down lift, installed at the local telephone exchange. The operation of the push-button also alows a telephone within the elevator to be coupled to an outside line, with a further alarm provided at a remote break-down service point, after a given time interval. Pref. the display panel indicating the number of the lift which has a broken-down also provides a visual indication of the time which elapses between the alarm button being operated and the transmission of the alarm signal to the remote service point. Respective inverters allow the audible alarm and the transmission of the alarm signal to the remote service point to be cut out, with indicator lights for indicating that the audible alarm has been cut-off and for indicating transmission of this alarm signal, or operation of the cut-out before transmission of the signal.</p> |
