Hand-held long rein for horse training - has portable wind-up spool with spring and handle held in bearing frame

The device is for picking up the excess part of the long rein during lunging i.e. the training of young horses using a long rein. A portable bearing frame (1) for a spool (10) for winding up has a handle (8) and there is a clamping device for fitting the rein to the horses bridle. The clamping device (14) is arranged in the thumb region of the hand which grips the handle (8). If a bolt is used as the lunge rein, the spool is can-shaped and driven by a spiral spring.
