<p>PURPOSE:To make it possible to judge the remaining capacity without the effect on charging and discharging under the state wherein the effect of chemical action is not received, by detecting the stop of an engine, and measuring the terminal voltage of a battery under the state wherein the chemical action of the electrolyte of the vehicle mounted battery is stable after an elapse of a specified time from the engine stop. CONSTITUTION:A stop detecting circuit 4 detects the stop of a vehicle engine based on a positioning device for indicating the stop of the vehicle from running. A specified time after the detection of the stop is measured with a timer circuit 8. A terminal voltage of a battery under the state wherein the chemical action of the electrolyte of the vehicle mounted battery is stable after the specified time is measured. The measured terminal voltage is compared with a preset reference voltage by a comparator 9. The remaining capacity of the battery is judged with a D-type FF 11 that is a remaining capacity judging means based on the time-up output of the timer circuit 8 and the output of the comparator 9. A restart detecting circuit 5 detects the restart of the engine. When the remaining capacitance is less than the specified value at the restart of the engine, warning is issued to a driver from an abnormality indicating part 14.</p> |
