<p>In the fabric advance mechanism of a sewing machine, the hole in the presser foot and the carrying stud are concentric. There is an additional pivoting axis to engage concave fabric edges, at least for a part of the swing arm after lifting one of the locks (20, 21) on one of the swing axes. The guide on a swing movement of the swing arm is partially connected with the swing arm round the additional pivoting axis. Design allows concave fabric edges to be seamed cleanly, even if the curved radius is relatively small, for series working on fabrics of variable thicknesses from floor coverings to films.</p> |
