The rotary piston engine (10) has an oval shaped chamber. It has four pistons carried inside a rotating circular block with the outer ends of the pistons guided by a sleeve following the oval contour of the inside of the chamber. The pistons operate in holes in the block, with their axes at right angles to each other. As the block rotates, the pistons reciprocate against the oval chamber. The combustion gases circulate through channels bored through the block, controlled by valves at the inner ends of the pistons, also operated by the oval track.
