Control circuit which stops car washing system - by using distributed pivoted arms to operate mains switches and interrupt operation to prevent accidents

The control circuit has a strip running along the ground next to the guide for the chain that draws the car through the washing system. The strip has numerous pivoted arms each operating an electrical switch in the strip when pivoted. The switches are connected into the electrical supply lines of the washing system and can therefore stop it. Alternatively, the pivoted arms may be replaced by an extended flexible metal rail which when depressed touches the strip on the floor and causes a short circuit that initiates the opening of a mains switch which stops the system.
