The plug connector for insertion to the reverse side of circuit boards consists of a contact bracket made from a flat stamping, which forms a joint with the insulated wire at the back of the circuit board, also acting as insulated wire retainer. The stamping has several prongs with spring-loaded shanks, which can be used to engage the stripped ends of the leads as in 2517465. The connecting end of the stamping is E-shaped with the centre prong (22) made with fishhook type projections (10), 20). The outer shanks (5, 15) are also made with matching type fishhooks (6, 16), leaving a gap for the stripped wire ends (3, 13). The wires are held by spring action. A fish-hook formed as a spring arm is preferably inclined relative the contact centre axis, e.g. at 45 deg., in the connecting wire inserting direction.
|
