With magnetically agitating molten steel yet solified, the segregation of impurities in steel ingot or continuous steel castings(I) are designed to be prevented. When the duration of the sending of electric current both in the direction of R (tp) and in the direction of L (tn) are 5-20 seconds under tp>=tn and tp/tn = 1.0-3.0, the white-bend in I was remarkably reduced in connection with the partition of the columner structure.
