Manufacture of block calendars - by printing sheets for twelve months and then cutting and stacking in order

In the production of a block calendar the stacked sheets are supplied to a feeder, from which they are transferred to a conveyor belt. Each sheet is cut into parallel strips which are then cut transversely, as in 2741332. The symbols of an entire calendar year are printed on a single sheet, and such sheets are stacked and supplied to the feeder. A single sheet is transferred to a running conveyor belt which carries it to a cutting section for longitudinal and transverse cutting. The calendar leaves thus produced are then stacked and conventionally processed into a calendar block. Pref. first the longitudinal cutting is performed the strips are stacked and cut transversely.
