The visible side (5), consists of mahogany or other decorative wood, with a board of less valuable material (6) glued to it. The profile board (1) has a tongue (3) on one longitudinal side, and groove (2) on the other, for cladding walls or ceilings in buildings. The gluing runs in the plane (4) which divides the tongue and the bottom of the groove. In production a board of decorative wood is glued to cheaper boards on both sides. The unit is then split through the middle of the decorative wood, and two profile planks are finished by planing. This is inexpensive, but usable in high-quality cladding.
|
