A circular loom controls the tension of a warp by a unit for feeding the warp through the contact frictional force with a yarn and a yarn guide having an elastic member for absorbing variations in tension. A dancing lever (40) having a warp guide (40b) to a heald is always engaged with a first spring (40c). Since a second spring (40d) comes into cooperation with the first spring (40c) when the lever (40) rotates more than a predetermined angle due to an abnormal tension, it can absorb large tension variations in tension mainly caused by a shed-forming motion. On the other hand, the warp (3) fed from a creel is fed in response to the warp tension by the action of the contact frictional force with the outer peripheral surface of a roller (54) which rotates with a peripheral speed faster than the speed of the fed warp.
|
